Unless I'm misunderstanding you here and you're talking about AWS itself being taken over or destroyed entirely. Granted, this is crossing into Incident Response territory, which is not my specialty (that being Privacy and Compliance). So I don't think it would be quite that simple. Those outages are typically completely invisible to people because of that local cache.Īs far as the backups go, I believe their entire purpose is to provide a path to recovery when there's an issue with the production system. 1Password will sometimes go down for maintenance, or during AWS outages, or for unexpected reasons.
