![]() No longer do the raw materials upgrade like in TpF1, so you may end up transferring from multiple Raw Material sources to a single processing plant. Yes there are only two items to each city, but the logistics of how the goods are dealt with has changed. Still, wont be realistic if I did and there is probably no need if the quarry already expects to supply another brick works across the map then the profits should be decent. The production chains in TpF2 seems to be one of the most miss understood change in the games. Gives me the idea that when I build a train line from one town to the next I should include a massive detour as far as I can afford to build, such as a looping section that goes around the map three times. you get paid for two map widths of 'straight line' travel distance. (of course, you're paid from pick up to drop off, not from source to destination, so if you take something half way across the map, switch it to a different train, take it all the way to the Opposite side of the map, switch trains, and then bring it back to a destination half a train length over from the source. This still Usually adds up to the longest trip being the most profitable, but if the trip involves too much weaving around and up and down that can cease to be the case. I had seen something stating this in a post about how to make money. You are paid for the distance, so you want as long a distance as possible to maximise profits.Īh, yes. ![]() All other factors being equal the most profitable construction material factory to ship stone to is the one furthest away. I haven't yet let this scenario run so I am only assuming it is not a profitable situation but we will see. So I should have started supplying the factory from the 2nd quarry instead of supplying the 2nd brick factory from Quarry number 1. So I would say that what I should actually have done is leave the quarry at the 50% shipment level until later in the game and concentrate on the factory that produces the goods first. So I started supplying that and the quarry then started show the shipment levels catching up to full. One of the customers named was another brick factory on the other side of the map. This appears to be potential customers that the game already has planned within it, based on the other businesses on the map. The middle tab of the quarry screen showed the customers. The Quarry showed the two levels on the last tab that only about 50% of the products made were reaching their destination. My quarry was in this situation where I needed production to be higher to help the brick factory. ![]()
